Thorndale Chiropractor Selected to U.S. Open Wellness Team

June 1, 2011 - PRLog -- Organized by Dr. Jeff Poplarski, the volunteer Wellness Team consists of 100 health professionals from 13 states in specialties ranging from chiropractic, to physical therapy and massage therapy.  There will even be an on site hyperbaric chamber for golfers, caddies, and officials to take advantage of over the course of the week.  According to Dr. Poplarski, this is one of the largest sports medicine collaborations that has ever been assembled in the state of Maryland.  “It’s a great honor to be a part of this exceptional staff at one of the world’s greatest events,” said Lapp.   

“The U.S. Open is the most prestigious golf championship of the year,” said Poplarski.  This will be the third time Congressional Country Club has hosted the Men’s U.S. Open.  Prior U.S. Opens were held in 1964, won by Ken Venturi and again in 1997, won by Ernie Els.  This year’s Open will feature a purse of $7,500,000 and the winner will receive around $1,350.00.
