May 31, 2011 - PRLog -- In an interview with Construction Digital, Argot Ansons of Leighton Asia explains how the company has teamed up with LNS in a joint-venture project that will give millions of people in Hong Kong access to cleaner water. The LNS Joint Venture is working together to build a new sewage treatment infrastructure for Victoria Harbour.

The first HATS (Harbour Area Treatment Scheme) project was completed in 2001. The HATS 2 project is focused on providing treatment to the remaining 25 percent of the sewage that is generated by the northern and southwestern sides of Hong Kong Island. This project will provide service to roughly 5.7 million residents of the island of Hong Kong.

This is the first time that Leighton Asia has worked with the Norwegian based LNS, a Norwegian company that specializes in state-of-the-art drill and blast tunneling techniques.  Together the two companies bring world-class service and experience to a project that is vital for the local Hong Kong community.
