May 30, 2011 - PRLog -- There are many wall tiles in which to choose from and these days home owners want to create a real design statement whilst choosing something a little different for their wall tiles. Bathrooms are common places to install wall tiles for both practicality and design and selecting different materials can really add to the look and feel of your bathroom.
There are the common porcelain and ceramic tiles which are real favourites for the bathroom but there are other tile materials to choose from and other creative designs which home owners can use to really enhance their bathroom.
The shower area is a popular place to tile and home owners can have real fun using different design patterns. Using a water theme can really enhance the bathroom and there are bathroom tiles which will mimic the look and feel of water with darker and lighter blue shades used throughout the shower.
The floor area is probably the one area to consider first especially if you are using tiles because any tiles you install on the floor will need to match the walls and too many contrasting colours will make the room appear smaller. Using complimentary colours that complement each other will work really well. If your wall tiles are particularly busy then any floor tiles need to be as neutral as possible. Crèmes and light beiges work well with mosaic tiles installed around borders, this will add a timeless feel.
Using neutral coloured tiles on the walls and then using the backsplash and bath areas as focal points will really enhance the look of your bathroom. Smaller and bolder colours can be used with smaller tiles adding real style and elegance. The bath area is one area where Mosaic Tiles will really enhance the look and feel of your bathroom and there are many styles and designs in which to choose from.
The key to any decoration is to choose wisely and look at the bathroom as a whole whilst trying to design each part of the bathroom to complement each other.  Choosing floor tiles is the first aspect and then you can decide which areas you would like to make a real focal point of. Always remember that smaller bathrooms work better with lighter shades with larger bathrooms carrying off bolder colours more effectively.  Once you have decided which areas you want to make focal points of then you can design and choose tiles for the rest of the bathroom. Any wall tiles should always compliment any bath and shower tiles without the clashing of colours as this is likely to make your bathroom look busy and appear smaller.
