Pier Software Completes Custom Website Design For Another Non-Profit

May 31, 2011 - PRLog -- In February of 2006, State Farm Corporate created the Hispanic Agents Advisory Board by selecting a group of high profile Hispanic agents from the top 10 zones. From this group of agents, three of them Founded the National Hispanic Agents Network (NHAN): Yolie Aleman-Rodriguez, Robert Elizalde and David Peña. These agents spoke to the rest of the Hispanic Agents Advisory Board about creating an Agents Hispanic Network. The agents in attendance liked the idea and agreed to create and form the National Hispanic Agents Network. Many of them became NHAN Delegates and went on to represent their states and/or zones, creating NHAN Chapters throughout the country. Yolie Aleman-Rodriguez was voted NHAN’s first President.

In 2007, the 25 NHAN Delegates met in Arizona to discuss the guidelines of a national roll-out of NHAN Chapters by state and/or zone . Since each zone has its state specific issues, it was decided that the NHAN Delegates would go back to their zone and host annual NHAN Chapter meetings with their own membership of Hispanic Agents and Spanish enabled Agents who wanted to participate in a higher learning environment by sharing ideas and by listening to top ranked agents speak at their NHAN Chapter meetings. Thereafter, all of the NHAN Chapters would meet every three years at the NHAN Convention.

Texas will be hosting the very first NHAN National Convention at the Hyatt Regency San Antonio on August 25th and 26, 2011. Currently, the NHAN has approximately 300 members across the country.

In 2011, Pier Software completed a custom website for NHAN using ASP.NET, AJAX.NET and jQuery (http://www.nationalhispanicagents.com).  The website was designed such that content management was flexible and easy to use.
