Soren Technology offers free upgrade to Meaningful Use Release of Bio-Station EHR

May 25, 2011 - PRLog -- Plantation, FL - Soren Technology, a market leader in ambulatory clinical systems, today announced that all practices have successfully upgraded to Version 2.0, the company’s meaningful use (MU) version, which, with electronic prescribing, integrated lab ordering and the Bio-Station Patient Portal, has received 2011/2012 ONC-ATCB Complete EHR certification by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT ®).

When participating in the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) EHR Incentive Program, providers are required to supply data that illustrates their meaningful usage of a certified EHR. On July 13, 2010, the U.S. Health and Human Services Department released the final rule on meaningful use of an EHR under the HITECH Act.
