This Summer Take Your Kids On Field Trips Around The World

May 24, 2011 - PRLog -- Smart Mom University (http://www.smartmomuniversity.com) kicks off summer with their popular Field Trip Fridays for families worldwide, beginning June 2, 2011! Every Friday, through August 5, 2011, Smart Mom University posts a weekly field trip theme designed for families from around the world to explore their backyard, hometown or a destination while they are on vacation, based upon the theme. Parents are also provided with simple and practical thematic activities to incorporate into the outing providing an educational element through interactive experiences. Children experience science, language arts, social studies, geography, art, math and music concepts as well as a multitude of social skills when the pre-designed activities are incorporated into the field trips.

As a culminating activity to the field trip, families are asked to post one picture of their outing on Smart Mom University’s Facebook fan page (http://facebook.com/smartmomuniversity). Viewing the posted pictures provides children the opportunity to learn how families, around the world, spend their time as well as the similarities and differences in cultures and geographical locations. Families from Pennsylvania, Kansas, California, Texas, Missouri, Georgia and New Zealand as well as babysitting and nanny services have already decided to join us on our field trips. Field Trip Fridays are designed for families with children ages 0-11 years of age, and a complete list of field trips and extension activities are available at Smart Mom University (http://smartmomuniversity.com/home/category/field-trip-fr...). Families can choose to participate in one or more of the field trips throughout the summer and embark on their adventure when it is convenient to their schedule. There is no cost to participate through Smart Mom University, however families are responsible for any admission costs they incur at the locations they visit.
