May 24, 2011 - PRLog -- ROGERS, MN – May 24, 2011 - Missing GRACE Foundation, a nonprofit organization working to change lives affected by pregnancy and infant loss and to promote research and prevention, today announced they will be opening The Center for GRACE. A grand opening ceremony will take place Friday, June 3, 2011 at 21370 John Milless Drive, Rogers, Minnesota. There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10:30 a.m., and an open house later in the day from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.
The Center for GRACE will be a refuge and an emotional home to thousands of families who need resources and support for their grief following pregnancy loss, infant loss (in the first year of life), and infertility or adoption challenges.
“We are so honored to be able to bring a much needed physical place of sanctuary to the community for people who need comfort and support during a very difficult time,” stated Candy McVicar, founder of Missing GRACE.
The building will serve as the Foundation’s national headquarters and will consist of a gift shop, a library/resource room, a playroom, a fireside community room with free Wi-Fi, and office space for counseling services.

There will be ongoing classes, support group meetings and counseling offered for:
•   Parents who have experienced a miscarriage, stillbirth or death of an infant up to one year of age
•   Children who are grieving siblings who died
•   Women who desire to receive tools to take an active role in their medical care to protect pregnancy
•   Expectant parents with previous losses working through the anxiety, concerns and fears of a subsequent pregnancy
•   Couples looking for medical and natural health solutions as they face infertility and may consider the path of adoption

“After losing my son at full term, I needed a place to receive support and resources to help me and my family through the journey of grief. Candy and her team were there for us and I am so thankful to see this Center opening to support other families who are faced with the unthinkable loss of a baby.” stated Kristi Reinertson, Missing GRACE Crisis Care Team Member.

The Center for GRACE was remodeled and furnished through the support of many businesses and people in the community, including:
