"Sub Rosa" set for release September 2011

May 21, 2011 - PRLog -- Darkly mystical, bittersweet, uniquely personal, the music of In Days of Yore combines the abrasive energy of alternative rock, scorching guitar riffs, electro-acoustic arrangements and a grainy, textured voice, tinged with discord.  Carolyne La Branche’s songs speak of a tumultuous past, dealing with personal matters such as empathy, loneliness and poetic justice. The experience has the cathartic quality of a dramatic movie soundtrack.

To rise from her ashes like a phoenix, its wings soaked in black ink, this is the mythical image conveyed by the musical landscapes of In Days of Yore. Carolyne La Branche achieves this by translating the feelings that rise from her shadowy heart into the pure musical expression of spiritual rebirth

In Days of Yore will launch its new CD,  “Sub Rosa”, in September 2011. Filled with passionate, eclectic visions and distortions, it captures the life of the artist in a cinematic way. The title song, “Sub Rosa,” about a passionate and tormented brand of love, is a tapestry of moods, from light to dark, from sunrise to sunset. Its lyrics and dark energy generate vivid images in our minds, and the creative arrangements, the rich variations in style, rhythm, and texture capture our attention from the very first track.  Imbued with international influences, her music draws the listener into a rich metaphorical universe.

In Days of Yore will kick off her CD launch in Montreal on September 2011 with many shows projected as of March 2011. Tours are also being planned for both Canada and America.
