Follow on Google News | Miss South Carolina, United States To Unveil Exclusive Charitable Sandwich Wednesday June 1Miss South Carolina, United States, Valarie Kobrovsky, will be unveiling her latest charity project at The Bagel Shop on Wednesday June 1, 2011 promptly at 7:30am when she ceremonially rings in the first official “Miss SC Sash Wrap” sandwich.
The Bagel Shop, which is located at 41 A George St in historic Charleston, SC, will be the exclusive place in South Carolina with this charitable sandwich which is made up of: spinach wrap, mixed greens, cucumber, zucchini, hummus and pesto herb aioli. Fifty percent of the proceeds from the sandwich will be donated to HUG Charleston, a fundraising organization that directs proceeds to nonprofits and charities throughout the Charleston area. HUG Charleston will give 100% of their proceeds to the local homeless shelter, Crisis Ministries. The sandwich may be purchased in-store, or is also available via The Bagel Shop’s newly launched website (http://www.thebagelshopcharleston.com ) which features online ordering for catering, delivery and take-out. Miss South Carolina, United States, Valarie Kobrovsky will also be posing for pictures and signing autographs for two hours promptly after the ceremonially ring. # # # Helping the Underprivileged Grow is a fundraising organization that directs proceeds to nonprofits and charities throughout the Charleston area. After working with many nonprofits we started to see a distinct pattern emerge. Every company seemed to be looking for help in the exact same areas. *Increasing non-government funding *Creating a larger brand awareness *Targeting a younger demographic Each company was coming up short on funds when relying on government funding alone, but they also didn’t have the manpower or resources to throw large events.
