As Islay Robinson, Director at Enness Private Clients explains: “For most clients we’re still seeing a huge knowledge gap between what is available through traditional, retail lenders and the private banks. A lot of this is due to the fact that private banks are less keen to make public their offerings to the masses, and instead prefer to acquire new clients more discreetly through introductions directly, or from trusted third parties; Solicitor’s, Accountant’s and a handful of Broker’s.”

However it is also true that a lot of broker’s just simply do not have the knowledge themselves or the contacts within the various banks to make their clients aware that there are better options available.

“With that in mind the website has been designed to try and make people aware that there are more options than perhaps they would have been offered through other channels. Our Case Study section on the website is there to give clients an overview of what we have been able to achieve for other clients.”

Many client have already found what a useful tool it is, and although no deal will be identical, there will always be similarities; be it high leverage, complicated income or a flexible structure, and by publishing the examples we are trying to broaden people’s ideas on what is achievable with the right contacts.

“Our view is that every situation we come across is unique and therefore the lending solution should be tailored as such.”
