Ramada Plaza team rises to Race for Life challenge

May 12, 2011 - PRLog -- Receptionist Danielle McNamara, wedding and events co-ordinator Lucy Prescott, Vicky Simpson from reservations and chef Lisa Ray will don their pink t-shirts for the 5km event at Victoria Park in aid of Cancer Research UK.  

Lucy, 22, explained that none of the group are natural runners, but she said they were all looking forward to the challenge.  She added: “The Ramada Plaza takes its commitment to charity very seriously and we felt that this was the perfect opportunity for us to do our bit.  

“We’re hoping to raise £400 between us for the charity. Cancer affects so many people so it’s a brilliant cause for the hotel to support.”

Previous charities to benefit from the support of the Ramada Plaza include the Stroke Association and the Merseyside Young Stroke Information ‘n’ Support Group.

The hotel also offers a value for money charities’ package, which can save organisations up to £1,000 when arranging fundraising dinner dances.  The package, costing a reduced rate of just £24.95 per person, includes a three-course meal, free room and DJ hire, special overnight accommodation rates and a minimum 10 per cent donation from bar takings to the charity.
