Rhys Shows his Colours

May 9, 2011 - PRLog -- Rhys Giles has been chosen out of hundreds of applicants to compete for the live final of the Loreal Colour trophy Young Colourist Award. Rhys who has previously won through to the grand final in the same competition is delighted to be chosen, Rhys says " its a real honour to have my work recognised at the highest of levels by my peers and to be the only Welsh competitor to make it through gives that added pressure". Rhys who will be 25 in October this year has worked within the family business which now bears his name since the age of thirteen. The competition is aimed at Hairdressers 25 and under and demands the competitor being able to show technical excellence with colour.
The regional final which is at the Loreal Academy at Hammersmith London on the 26th May is where Rhys will have to demonstrate his colouring skills on two models within a three hour time frame, he will have to take into account the latest fashions in colouring trends the Hair cut and suitability of the model and present his vision in front of an audience of top industry proffesionals, the winner from each region will go forward to the grand final at the Grosvenor house hotel on Monday the 4th of July. "Rhys say it will be amazing to get to the grand final again as its always a great occassion with all the biggest names in British Hairdressing its always good to catch up with  friends and the opportunity to win will once again confirm my committment to British and Welsh Hairdressing.
