May 6, 2011 - PRLog -- Following a month of frantic activity by the growing number of members of the free Mapped Travel Community website, over 600 points of interest have been added bringing the grand total to more than 2000.

At Mapped Travel (http://www.mappedtravel.com) these can be used to armchair travel the world, or plan your next trip online and then print a guidebook.
While 2000 points of interest may not seem much, it clearly shows the dedication of the community to making this free travel guide a success and builds bright prospects for the future. But even now several cities invite virtual visitors, e.g. Havana (http://www.mappedtravel.com/north-america/cuba/havana-travel-guide/) or Kolkata (Calcutta) (http://www.mappedtravel.com/asia/india/kolkata-travel-guide/).

Looking into the future, Mapped Travel actively encourages anyone to participate (no registration required) and aims to pick up even more speed as it grows.
