May 3, 2011 - PRLog -- Colonial Bank FSB, a leading community bank with nine branches throughout southern New Jersey, recently announced the recipients of their 2010 Employee of the Year Award.
The winners are Ray Garcia, Credit Analyst for the Commercial Lending Department, and Carmen Hernandez, Customer Service Representative.

“Ray and Carmen are exemplary employees who bring great value to this organization,” said Ed Geletka, President of Colonial Bank FSB. “With dedication and drive, they are true assets to our customers and to our community.”

A Colonial Bank employee for five years, Garcia has earned a reputation as a pivotal member of the Commercial Lending department.  As underwriter, Garcia evaluates and makes recommendations on loan requests submitted by an applicant. His role is to verify the potential borrower’s credit and data provided by the potential debtor in order to provide financing for commercial mortgages, equipment loans, and lines of credit.  Garcia’s recommendations are critical to evaluating the loans and ensuring that the Bank makes sound lending decisions.

“We are honored to recognize Ray as an outstanding employee,” said Geletka. “He has a key role in ensuring the financial stability of Colonial Bank and he consistently goes above and beyond his responsibilities to ensure the success of our lending program, and the Bank as a whole.”

Hernandez, a Colonial Bank employee for more than seven years, is responsible for providing excellent customer service and maintaining strong professional relationships with the Bank’s clients.  As a Customer Service Representative, Hernandez serves as a valuable link between customers and Colonial Bank. She is responsible for opening new accounts including checking, savings, certificates of deposit and IRA investment options, assisting customers with inquiries regarding their Colonial Bank accounts and for providing all other critical service functions to enhance the relationship between the customer and Colonial Bank.

“Carmen excels at employee and client communication and provides fast, friendly service for our customers,” said Geletka. “Our customers in Upper Deerfield know that Carmen is there to help them have a great banking experience every time they visit or call the branch.”

Colonial Bank FSB began in 1913 as a small mortgage association in downtown Bridgeton. It is now a full-service community bank with nine locations in the heart of South Jersey. In addition to the main office in Vineland, Colonial Bank FSB maintains branches in Bridgeton, Mantua, Millville, Upper Deerfield, Vineland (three offices), Sewell and Cedarville.
