Local Financial Services Firm Hosts Charity Walk/Run In North Park

April 26, 2011 - PRLog -- Wexford, PA – The Freedom Financial Fight Against Cancer is a 5K run and walk in support of Jimmy V’s Cancer Foundation.  The V foundation was started from the dream of former NC State coach Jim Valvano as he battled cancer.  The V foundation has set goals to maintain the lowest overhead among cancer research fundraising organizations, continue to increase funding for cancer research year after year, and monitoring performance of scientists through annual reporting.

•   Race date: Saturday, June 11, 2011
•   Pre-register by June 9, 2011 to get discounted race fee

•   Event day registration begins at 7:30 am
•   Race starts at 9:00 am
•   Race location: North Park Boat House, Allison Park, PA
•   Pre-Registered entry fee: $20 for adult runners and walkers; $10 for 18 and younger runners and walkers

•   The race is USA Track & Field Sanctioned
•   All race proceeds benefit Jimmy V’s Cancer Foundation.
