C. Cren delivers big time with the release of new Mixtape

C. Cren is the stage name of Charlie Crenshaw IV.  He is a young talent with the right skill, with the right swagger and has a humbling attitude.  

C. Cren’s initial entry into the music industry was as a producer.  He began mixing, recording and creating tracks during his tour in Iraq as an outlet to what was surrounding him at that time.  It naturally transitioned itself into a creative craft for him and decided to put it out on a mixtape.  The response was extremely positive which gave him the confidence and the encouragement to move forward in this industry.  

C. Cren’s new mixtape is titled “Who is C. Cren”, with the single of “Saturday Night” featuring Lil Black and Caroline Ferrari leading the way.  The premise is quite simple; everyone is looking forward to weekends to unwind and letting go of their weekly stresses.  It’s a feel good song that puts you in a care free mindset – exactly what you need at the end of a long week.  This one is hip hop all the way.  It has a stand out dance beat, catchy lyrics and great vocals.  It is extremely radio friendly and people easily will draw themselves to this song come the weekend as it kicks off that glorious stress free days.   This one takes the trophy as the dance tune to beat in my view.

This single represents the mixtape as a whole as it delivers innovative sounds and textures into the mix.  C. Cren’s talent is evident due to the fact that he knows how to play the trumpet and has incorporated rhythmic patterns of his voice and instrumental arrangements with horn, sax and drums into his music.   His positive beats, rhythms and content to audiences worldwide make him a favorite and a stand out artist.  

“Who is C. Cren”, the mixtape has been released digitally and is available in its physical format.  The actual CD is set to release around the summer of 2011.  

C. Cren has appeared on the webcast talent showcase Blaze The Stage.  He was voted the second place winner in the hip-hop category with his high energy dance tune “Saturday Night”.  He has also performed live before millions on 106 & Park. His single has been in national rotation via ClearChannel radio reaching 1.8 million listeners.  It is also in rotation in some of the hottest clubs in the country.  He has also opened for Travis Porter, Gorilla Zoe, Starlito, Fat Joe, Pretty Ricky and more.
