Tunde Olaniran x The Flint Renaissance Art & Soul III Event

April 20, 2011 - PRLog -- Flint, Michigan-based artist, Tunde Olaniran  is set to perform at The Flint Renaissance Art & Soul III on April 29th, 2011. The event is celebrating the growth and thriving scene of motivated cadre of young artist, intellectuals, writers, educators, musicians, producers, designers, and activists, who all make up the Flint Renaissance.  Tunde Olaniran will be performing alongside other  rising artists including:  Mama Sol, Theory, BamStarr, Shava Jay, Kirei Shi, and artists from B. Corder’s “Intro to Another Intro”.  There is no admission fee for this event, but donations will be accepted.

About Tunde Olaniran
Tunde Olaniran has been instilled with the infusion of culture, consciousness, and rhythm since birth. He lived in Germany, Nigeria, and England before settling in Flint, MI where he was exposed to urban, folk, and soul influences as well as a strong jazz influence. Weird, soulful, old school, catchy, uplifting. All of these words have been used by listeners to describe Tunde’s style. He has opened for major artists such as Robyn,  and had the opportunity to tour Europe (France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Croatia), sharing the stage with acts like Switch, Ebony Bones, Diplo, XXXChange, and Jahcoozi; and making believers out of Detroit metal-heads and Croatian ravers alike with a sound that defies convention. Tunde  also performed at SXSW 2010. He just released his single “Cobra”, the lead-up to "Transgressor Part 1," the first of a 5-part album release scheduled for this year on Detroit label Exchange Bureau.
