Continental Academy Offers Online High School as GED Alternative

While GED tests may to get passers into college or get a job, high school is the best way to ensure they survive.

Continental Academy has three high school equivalency and completion programs that are designed specifically for students who are at least 16 years old. Two of the programs, Pioneering Alternative Career-Centric Education (PACE) and Online Utility to Raise Educational Achievement for College-Bound High Schoolers (OUTREACH) are completely online while the third one, Secondary Education for Alternative Learners (SEAL), is a traditional homeschooling program where students will receive a CD or a set of books for their lessons.

With the convenience of distance learning students might as well attend an online high school as GED preparation will take a significant amount of time and effort. Continental Academy is open to everyone, regardless of status and level of education. The school does not require that enrollees need to have finished a certain grade prior to enrollment.

The only policy that the school strictly follows is age limit because it only accepts students who are at least 16 upon the time of enrollment. The academy merely requires all enrollees under 18 to provide a signature of approval from a parent or guardian.

Enrollees get the benefits of an institution fully accredited by the National Association for the Legal Support of Alternative Schools. A non-public, non-religious secondary school serving grades 9 to 12, registered with the State of Florida Department of Education, Continental Academy has been in the academic community since 1996.
