Pet First Aid Classes Are Now Available!

Pet expert Arden Moore is ready to teach pet first aid, CPR, safety and wellness to dog and cat owners in San Diego County.

April 16, 2011 - PRLog -- OCEANSIDE, CA -- If your dog suddenly started choking, would you know what to do? What if your cat stopped breathing? One of the best ways to show how much you love your pet is by being trained in pet first aid, CPR and safety.

Taking  the correct and proper actions can significantly increase the chances of  survival and reduce the extent of  injury to your pet before transporting them to your veterinarian.

Arden Moore, founder of Four Legged Life in Oceanside, CA, is now offering Pet Tech's pet first aid and care classes. She recently completed an extensive, hands-on training program to become a certified instructor with Pet Tech, the internationally-recognized leader in pet CPR, first aid and care.

"My goal is to help people learn how to act when your pet needs you the most -- in a health emergency," says Moore. "By taking this course, you will learn many valuable skills."

The eight-hour class includes the skills and information necessary to prepare pet owners in the unfortunate event of a medical emergency involving their pets. Some of the topics highlighted in this class include CPR, rescue breathing, shock management, bleeding protocols, injury and wellness assessments, heat-related injuries, cold-related injuries, nutrition, dental, senior care and pet behavior. A condensed four-hour class is also available.

All students will receive hands-on training, training booklets and certificates. In addition to being a Pet Tech instructor, Moore is a member of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants. She is the author of 20 books on cats and dogs, magazine editor, media consultant, in-demand speaker and host of the "Oh Behave" show on Pet Life Radio.com, the world's No. 1 pet podcast network.

"Be your pet's best ally and take this course," says Moore. "By the end of the class, I promise that you will know how to deal with a dog or cat who is unconscious, bleeding, in shock and much more. You will also learn wellness tips that can save you on veterinary bills."

Moore will customize her classes for pet owners as well as those in the pet industry, including professional pet sitters, boarding facility staff members, groomers and dog trainers.
