APS to Host an Exhibit at ACOG’s 58th Annual Clinical Meeting

APS to host exhibit showcasing their perinatal curriculum at ACOG’s 58th Annual Clinical Meeting.

April 15, 2011 - PRLog -- Boston, MA, April 15, 2011— Advanced Practice Strategies (APS), a leading provider of education solutions for risk management and patient safety, today announced their intention to host an exhibit at The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) 58th Annual Clinical Meeting later this month. APS will highlight their clinically engaging, case-based perinatal education. ACOG’s Annual Clinical Meeting (ACM) is one of the most important medical meetings in the country for women’s health care professionals. The ACM serves as a premier networking and educational event to more than 3,500 obstetrics physicians, medical students, and other health care professionals and service providers.

APS will showcase their extensive online perinatal safety curriculum at their exhibit. The innovative curriculum, consistent with the national standards for perinatal care proposed by the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), focuses on clinically rich, interactive, team-oriented training and addresses many of the main drivers of obstetrical claims and adverse outcomes. Highlighted at the exhibit will be courses in APS’s Perinatal Safety Curriculum, which includes Advanced Fetal Assessment and Monitoring, Managing Shoulder Dystocia, Operative Vaginal Delivery, and Postpartum Hemorrhage, as well as a monthly Competency Maintenance series designed to reinforce clinicians’ understanding of key concepts from the core training. Additional APS courseware includes topics in surgical safety, patient safety, internal medicine, and core risk content.

“APS is delighted to attend ACOG’s 58th Annual Clinical Meeting this year,” stated John Harrington, APS Founder and Chief Mission Officer. Mr. Harrington will be present at the APS exhibit, booth 1330, to field questions from attendees. “Our goal is to demonstrate how we empower clinicians with cutting edge knowledge that enables them to deliver the highest quality and safest care possible.”
