April 13, 2011 - PRLog -- Greetings from MeBlitz, the crowdfunding site without deadlines. Since 4/20 is soon approaching we figured we would let all you "herb-lovers" know about an awesome, creative project we are hosting.

Are you a writer, a musician or an up-and-coming artist -- and believe that Cannabis inspires your creativity? Do you love Cannabis? Well, you are going to love, A CANNABIS COLORED WORLD, a feature-length documentary and internet experience by Steven Thorne.

Steve is a writer who believes that the use of Cannabis has greatly increased his creativity, and he is looking for some friends of Cannabis to assist in his project. "Hello world, my name is Steven Thorne. My project, A Cannabis Colored World, is going to be a feature-length documentary and multimedia internet experience about the wonders of Cannabis."

A writer who sometimes struggles with self-doubt, Steve says that the idea for a colorful documentary about Cannabis came to him soon after he started using the herb. "Using Cannabis profoundly changed my creativity and the way I view the world. I was in a slump for a long time. Life was blah. Grey. I wanted to write but I felt blocked, emotionally and creatively." But Steve says that all changed after someone gave him a marijuana cookie. "The change was instantaneous. The world changed. I swear that cookie was a gift from God. Colors became more vibrant, music never sounded so powerful. Art just seemed to flow naturally. But yet I was completely sober."

Steve credits his creative emergence with Cannabis but says that for a while he didn't tell anyone about it.  "I hate drugs. I don't use drugs. I wasn't raised that way." When he finally began to tell people about the positive effects of Cannabis in his life he was criticized and called a druggie. "When you tell someone you use Cannabis they immediately think you are a couch potato with a huge bong and a Marley poster on the wall. People think Cannabis users are apathetic stoners with no jobs or lives. Actually, the opposite is true. Some of the most artistic and successful people in the world use Cannabis." Steve is right. From Art Garfunkel to Willie Nelson, Shakespeare to Sir Richard Branson, creative and artistic people throughout time have used Cannabis to enrich their lives.

Steve hopes that A Cannabis Colored World will change some of the negative views. "I think Cannabis should be considered a nutritional supplement for creative people. I really do. It is that empowering and essential. It's insane to have to hide something so beautiful when society is drowning in the negativity of Four Loko drinks."

Steve says that Cannabis suffers from bad PR. "Alcohol has destroyed so many lives, yet beer companies use magazines and their commercials shout at us in full color. They sponsor concert tours. They shove it in our faces. They make it seem like you will be cool, that you will be popular with the ladies." But Steve says that there are things that the beer companies don't advertise in commercials. "They don't show the violence. They don't show the disease of alcoholism. They don't show the cars wrapped around trees." He says that America would be a better place if people drank less and smoked more Cannabis. "I don't have to hype Cannabis to make it pretty. I don't have to lie. Cannabis makes the world a better place. Period. It is a better choice than alcohol."

Steve says that A Cannabis Colored World will be a rainbow-colored billboard to show the world how Cannabis positively changes lives. "We've got to get the word out in full color. You've got to show them proof. Colors don't lie. Art doesn't hide. And I need artists to help so the world will see the truth."

A Cannabis Colored World will showcase the positive, colorful art that Cannabis has inspired. Imagine a full length DVD bursting with colorful art and music. Steve is looking for artists, writers, and musicians of all kinds to lend some creative art for the project. He is also looking for stories and testimonials to include in the documentary.
