First Clean Services wins window cleaning contract for Aspire Defence buildings

April 6, 2011 - PRLog -- ANDOVER, Hampshire (April 4th, 2011) - First Clean Services has added to their commercial client portfolio with a contract to provide window cleaning services to Aspire Defence properties across southern England, a reflection of the company’s commitment to health and safety regulations.

Since 2005, when the Working at Height directive was introduced, First Clean Services (FCS) have worked to ensure that their commercial and domestic clients don’t suffer from the potential litigation that can come about from window cleaners suffering from falls or injuries due to inadequate health and safety measures whilst working on their property. This diligence has been rewarded with the contract to supply window cleaning services to every building that Aspire maintain for the Ministry of Defence, at locations including Warminster, Aldershot, Larkhill, Tidworth, Ludgershall, Netheravon, and Bulford.

Governments statistics show that over 4,000 employees a year suffer a major injury as a result of a fall from height. Under the Working at Height directive, it is the responsibility of both the contractor and the service provider to ensure that correct health and safety measures are in place – whether the contractor be domestic or commercial.

Won on the back of their safety record, the contract with Aspire involves FCS providing services on buildings from porta-cabins to seven-storey office blocks across a range of sites, a reflection of the versatility of FCS who offer both domestic and commercial window cleaning services throughout Hampshire, Berkshire, Wiltshire, Dorset, and Surrey. The breadth of the company’s operation is reflected in its recent internal investment, which includes a full rebrand of its corporate identity and an increase in staff numbers.
