Arlington Baseball Program Hosts Alumni Night

March 30, 2011 - PRLog -- The Pantego Christian Academy baseball program will host its 2nd annual Panther Baseball Alumni Night on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at the UTA Maverick Baseball Stadium.  The Panther Varsity baseball team will play Trinity Valley.  Last year's alumni event attracted over 25 former students and players.

Chad McBroom, Head Baseball Coach at Pantego Christian Academy, expressed the importance of the event to stay in contact with former players on a personal basis, as well as keeping alumni connected with the PCA baseball program.

"I want the alumni to continue to feel connected to the PCA baseball program and see the direction that it is going," noted Coach McBroom.  "I enjoy staying in touch with them and want to stay invested in their lives.  Their time playing baseball at PCA is some of the most memorable in their lives, especially those that were on state championship teams.  I also know that they are getting to the point in their lives where they might want to give back to a program that helped shape their lives."

Pantego Christian Academy's baseball program has reached the playoffs every year under McBroom's leadership with back-to-back state championships in 2004 and 2005.  McBroom is a graduate of The University of Texas at Arlington where he lettered 3 years in baseball for the Mavericks.  He then went on to Tarleton State University as a graduate assistant coach while receiving his Master's degree in Education.  PCA Panther Baseball also offers over 50 years of experience on the coaching staff.
