Xaverian Missionaries Pilgrimage to Rome

March 29, 2011 - PRLog -- Join the Xaverian Missionaries on a pilgrimage to Rome to celebrate their founder, Blessed Guido Maria Conforti being proclaimed a “Saint” by His Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI in St. Peter’s Basilica on October 23, 2011.

Sponsored by the Xaverian Missionaries and operated by The Renaissance Group, the pilgrimage will run from October 21 through October 29 and includes Assisi, Florence, Montecantini, Parma, Padua, Ravenna and Venice. Of special interest is the city of Parma where a Mass of Thanksgiving will be celebrated on October 24 in the Basilica of Saint Paul, Apostle to the Gentiles, where the Comforti  and was consecrated Bishop and where he pronounced his religious vows.

Guido Maria Conforti is truly a saint for modern times! His outreach and concern for the world presaged our age of instant communication demolishing boundaries and creating a multi-cultural inclusive community. The pilgrimage will be a chance to walk in the footsteps of the saint and discover how he became the “Missionary to the entire world.”
