March 25, 2011 - PRLog -- Concord, North Carolina– Woodson University (Concord, North Carolina) has been declared exempt from licensure to conduct select courses (both in City of Concord and online) in the areas of leadership and management, Christian education, and religious studies. With this declaration the university now has the ability to begin degree activity in certificates, baccalaureate, masters, and doctoral areas.

Recruitment efforts are already underway for the first official class of students. Woodson University is currently a corresponding institution with the Transnational Association of Christian College and Schools for accreditation.

“Although we have completed our mandatory application orientation, we plan to officially apply for accreditation recognition in April of 2012. This will provide us time to ensure the necessary standards of accreditation have been met and our operations fully vetted and examined by outside independent counsel.” said A.L. Fleming, president of Woodson University.

“We are truly excited about being apart of the Concord/Cabarrus community, particular being headquartered in Historic Downtown Concord and look forward to adding to the economic and academic landscape of our community.” Fleming said.
