Beautiful Homes in San Francisco and France are a passion for The Matchmakers

March 24, 2011 - PRLog -- Beautiful homes in the greater San Francisco Bay Area and in France are a passion with The Matchmakers, a real estate company located in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Jim and Elizabeth Hilgendorf, the husband and wife real estate matchmaking duo, love the energy, excitement, and beauty of the San Francisco Bay Area.  But they also love France, and have been to France many times.  

Following their passions, they are focusing their real estate business on matching clients to beautiful dream homes in both these areas.

For Jim and Elizabeth, their fascination with France began about fifteen years ago, when they met and became close friends with a married couple named Joe and Framboise.  

Joe was raised in Los Angeles, and became a successful screenwriter.  About forty years ago, though, he flew into Paris cold; mastered the French language; and became a prominent screenwriter in Paris.  He met and married a lovely Parisienne - Framboise - and after about twenty-five years in Paris, they decided to move back to Los Angeles, and this is where they met Jim and Elizabeth.  

The four of them traveled to France together, and Joe and Framboise introduced Jim and Elizabeth to their friends, to French food and wine, to the beauty of Paris and the French countryside, and thereafter Jim and Elizabeth were hooked on France.

Jim is also the producer of a series of travel films - The Tribute Series - and on his subsequent trips to France with Elizabeth, he began collecting video footage, and eventually produced a thirty minute video on Bordeaux and the beautiful Dordogne Valley region in southwest France.  The website for his videos is at:

He also began making contacts with real estate agents in different areas of France - Paris, Bordeaux and the Dordogne, Aix-en-Provence, and the Cote d'Azur - and began learning the ropes of French real estate.  

Buying a home in France is a much different experience than buying a home in the United States, and The Matchmakers decided they would facilitate clients in the United States by helping them with the search process and connecting them with an agent who was both knowledgeable about the area they were interested in, and who was also someone who would provide excellent service.
