Hells Kitchen Contestant to Throw Mystery Dinner

(Clearwater, FL) - Chef Robert Hesse, who received worldwide attention and respect for his strong finish during seasons five and six of "Hell's Kitchen," will be serving up a meal "to die for" soon in Clearwater.

Chef Hesse, at his Pssghetti's Italian Market and Restaurant where he is the Corporate Executive Chef and Partner, will host a mystery dinner, entitled "My Big Fat Italian Funeral," on Wednesday, March 23, 2011at 6:00 p.m.

Put on by Murders She Wrote, Inc., the production will feature a night of suspense, comedy, audience participation and great food prepared by Chef Hesse.

Hesse made his mark in the cooking industry when he appeared on the hit television reality series "Hell's Kitchen," vying for one of Chef Gordon Ramsey's elite restaurants in season five.  A medical condition forced Hesse to leave the show early, even though he was one of Ramsey's top choices to win the grueling competition.

With an overwhelming demand for Hesse's return and clearance from his doctor, Hesse returned to Hell's Kitchen in season six, and finished in the top four.

On March 23, Hesse will provide the food and a company of actors will provide the murder and mayhem as the chef opens his restaurant to mystery dinner theater, a popular night out that draws the audience into the action.

"A good restaurant experience should be intimate, and good theater can be the same way," Chef Hesse says about hosting the production. "With this event on March 23rd, we're combining both and it should be a lot of fun."

A cocktail party begins at 6:00 p.m. and the show will begin at 6:30. The ticket price of $29.99 per person includes the show and a three-course dinner.
