March 21, 2011 - PRLog -- Roughly 150 people from over 20 countries participated in an online interactive writing experiment to inspire one poet, Isabel Kestner, to write 100 poems in 100 hours.  The impromptu writing event which ended in the early morning hours of January 30th, 2011 is now documented in the book Just Close Your Eyes and Write…100 Poems in 100 Hours.

“People online kept the ideas flowing in my head so I could keep writing and all the encouragement kept me from giving up.” Kestner said.  Participants from around the globe, from Canada to Kenya, offered ideas, suggestions, inspirations, hope, and encouragement by posting and interacting with Kestner on her Facebook page throughout the 100 hours.

In addition to the 100 poems completed during the writing experiment, Just Close Your Eyes and Write…100 Poems in 100 Hours provides readers with a time stamped look at the process of writing the poetry and the influence of those that participated online.  “You get to see the thoughts and inspirations behind the poetry.  And it shows the fears, frustrations, and hopes along the way.” added Kestner.

Isabel Kestner is also the author of two other poetry collections, Strange Things She Heard (2009) and Blackbird Sky (2011).  Her third book Just Close Your Eyes and Write…100 Poems in 100 Hours is available through Amazon.com, MouseEyed.com, and other retailers.
