Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Approves New CEO

Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company S.A. said Thursday that its Board of Directors had appointed Dimitris Lois to succeed Doros Constantinou as the Group's new chief executive officer later this year.
 
March 17, 2011 - PRLog -- Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company S.A. said Thursday that its Board of Directors had appointed Dimitris Lois to succeed Doros Constantinou as the Group's new chief executive officer later this year.

The company said that Lois' appointment will take effect in the third quarter of 2011 to ensure a seamless leadership transition.

"He [Lois] has built a very strong team that will continue to lead this business to greater success. We are very pleased to be able to appoint a successor of Dimitris's caliber from within our deep talent pool," the chairman of Coca-Cola Hellenic, George David, said.

The newly-approved CEO joined Coca-Cola Hellenic in March 2007, and was appointed as Region Director three months later with responsibility for several of Coca-Cola Hellenic's key markets including Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Moldova, Nigeria and Romania.

The Group subsequently appointed Lois as chief operating officer in July 2009 for all of Coca-Cola Hellenic's countries. The company said in a statement that he had overseen a number of significant achievements in this role including growing market shares.

The incoming CEO holds degrees in chemical engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology and Northeastern University.

Coca-Cola Hellenic is the second-largest bottler of products of The Coca-Cola Company in terms of volume with sales of over 2 billion unit cases covering multiple beverages.
