March 14, 2011 - PRLog -- According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the unemployment rate in the United States topped 9.5% at the close of February 2011.  At this time, it is only natural to conclude that Americans are having a difficult time securing employment in the United States.  According to Motion Technologies, simply applying for a few jobs here and there is not enough.

The key to a successful job search involves numerous steps, hard work, and determination.  Gone are the days of landing a job with little or no effort.

Job seekers are advised to start with a strong, professional, and well-written resume.  This resume is often a job seeker’s only chance to make a good impression.  Once this resume is composed and reviewed, the job search is on.  All job seekers should focus attention on positions in which they are qualified for.  Time is wasted applying for jobs when the hiring company’s mandatory requirements are not met.

A common mistake made by those actively seeking employment involves focusing on one or two job search websites.  A standard internet search on Yahoo or Google will connect job seekers with hundreds of career sites.  Do they all need to be searched; isn’t this time consuming?  Of course; however, various companies use various job search websites.  Search only one and run the risk of missing twenty to one-hundred jobs listings.

To combat the common issue of wasted time, Motion Technologies developed the JobFinder.

Developed in 2008, the JobFinder is a desktop search tool that enables job seekers to search across the internet for jobs.  All the best job search websites are searched at once; including, but not limited to Career Builder, Monster, Indeed, SimplyHired, and so forth.  Additional timesaving features include, but are not limited to, email alerts of new jobs, the uploading and storing of resumes and cover letters, optional search filters to produce relevant jobs, and more.

In February 2011, Motion Technologies unveiled the free JobFinder Android App, enabling job seekers to job search on the go from their Android phone.  While an ideal application for any job seeker, it as a game-changer for the unemployed without an internet connection at home.
