Webinar: Export Controls & Licensing Under the Export Administration Regulations

March 14, 2011 - PRLog -- Most products and technologies contemplated for export from the US fall under the requirements of the EAR. Determining how a product is classified, the controls associated with a classification and eligibility for license exceptions involves a step-by-step process.

In this class we will describe the tools used in the EAR export control and licensing process and suggestions on how to go about using them.

Using sample products and technology we will step through the process of classification in the CCL, then move to using the Country Chart to make a license determination. The final step will be determining whether any license exceptions apply. The last part of the class will be an overview of the license application process.

This class is intended for people new to export controls and licensing under the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) or those who need a refresher on how those controls work.
