FORT SMITH, ARKANSAS – (March 1, 2011) Umarex USA, one of the fastest growing sporting gun companies in the United States, introduces a 1911 style pistol, the Regent R100 pistol, chambered in .45 ACP. The pistol, introduced on the 100-year anniversary of the original M1911 pistol, has been specifically engineered for precision, durability, and accuracy.

The original model 1911 was formally adopted by the United States Army, Navy, and Marine Corps shortly after introduction, with heavy production and use during both World War I and II. Several other military and law enforcement organizations in the United States and other countries continue to use variants of the M1911, and extreme popularity of the pistol makes it a well-liked handgun for many individuals in their personal collections.

The steel investment cast frame gives the Regent the weight of the original M1911, while the 7-round steel detachable magazine allows for quick reloading.
