March 8, 2011 - PRLog -- George Bickerstaff, Chairman and Co-founder of The Global Leaders, just returned from San Francisco where he was a judge for the Hult Global Case Challenge 2011 along with an impressive array of other leaders which included Craig Newmark, founder of Craigslist.org, Jonathan Greenblatt, co-founder of Ethos Water, George Hu, EVP Salesforce.com and partners from McKinsey and Boston Consulting Group.

“The Hult Global Case Challenge brings together the brightest business school students from around the world to focus on solving one of the world’s key social challenges.  This year, Hult entered into a partnership with the Clinton Global Initiative, an organization created by President Bill Clinton to turn ideas into action.  The Global Case Challenge was held simultaneously across all of the university’s campuses:  Boston, San Francisco, London, Dubai and Shanghai.  Each campus invited other universities from their region to participate.  There were 35 North American universities presenting in the San Francisco competition.  The challenge this year was for the students to present innovative solutions to tackling the global clean water crisis in partnership with Water.org.  It was an honor for me to be involved in such a worthwhile project”.

“However, when I returned back to NYC, I wanted to keep the momentum going and figure out a way that The Global Leaders could help”, continued Bickerstaff.   “In conjunction with MBA students from Hult International Business School, we had already planned an event on April 20th in San Francisco.     The focus of the event is to network the brightest MBA students from all the universities in the Greater San Francisco Area with senior level executives.  Leveraging this event and building on the momentum from this past weekend’s competition, we have invited all of the participants and judges, from the Hult Global Case Challenge to attend as our guests, including the winner of the last week’s regional competition, Stanford University.  The Global Leaders will continue to support these worthwhile initiatives through our platform, supporting future global leaders and with donations.”  (To see a complete list of the judges and participants visit http://hultglobalcasechallenge.com/attendees.html)

The Global Leaders would like to encourage everyone from the San Francisco area to attend the event to meet MBA students from Stanford, Berkley, Hult and others.  To register for the event, visit http://tgl-mba-networking-event-sfo.eventbrite.com/.  Anyone interested in taking a more pro-active role as a sponsor for the event on April 20th, should contact Jayme Porkolab at jayme.porkolab@tgleaders.com .  To learn more about the Hult MBA Team and the Global Leaders event, visit http://tgleaders.blogspot.com/2011/02/hult-mba-team-knows... .  To join The Global Leaders, visit http://www.tgleaders.com.
