Follow on Google News | Dr. Rand Harlow to be honored at University of IL at Chicago College of Dentistry reunionDr. Rand Harlow will receive the E. Lloyd Du Brul Faculty Achievement Award at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) College of Dentistry Reunion on Friday, April 29.
By: University of IL at Chicago College of Dentistry Dr. Harlow is Director of the Predoctoral Implant Program at the UIC College of Dentistry, which recently was named the recipient of the 2011 American Dental Education Association/ He joined the faculty of the Department of Restorative Dentistry as a Clinical Instructor in 1997. Dr. Harlow was one of the first Group Practice Managers for the redesigned Predoctoral Dental Clinics. He also headed the Central Dental Laboratory and served as the Course Director for the junior and senior restorative dentistry clinics. He currently holds the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor. Dr. Harlow lives in Chicago’s Hyde Park community. The Du Brul Award is named for the late faculty member Dr. E. Lloyd Du Brul, and is presented to one outstanding member of the College’s faculty. Following a successful move to the suburbs last year, the Reunion will return to the Carlisle Banquet Facility, 435 E. Butterfield Rd., Lombard, IL, 60148. All UIC College of Dentistry, Loyola, and Northwestern dental school alumni are invited. Tickets will be $115. A reception will be held at 6:30 p.m., with dinner at 7:30 p.m. Alumni, spouses, and friends all will enjoy Reunion 2011. It will feature special recognition for members of classes whose graduation years ended in a “1” or a “6” and for emeritus alumni—those who graduated more than 50 years ago. Amenities will include an open bar; hot hors d’oeuvres during the pre-event reception; wine at the tables during the dinner; and a sweet table with chocolate fountain after dinner. Valet parking will be only $4.
