March 5, 2011 - PRLog -- The launch of the dual core processors in the LG Optimus 2X seems to have been the impetus that many mobile phone manufacturers have been waiting and it finally is all set to kickstart the era of the dual core smartphones. However, LG do not seem to be satisfied with the launch of a single dual core smartphones and they have announced the new LG Optimus Black, which will be the phone that is squarely aimed at the Apple iPhone 4. One can easily see this by looking at the phones thickness. The LG Optimus Black is one of the thinnest phones that are available today and it will be taking over this mantle from the Apple iPhone 4.

The LG Optimus Black is more than capable of handling this pressure of being the thinnest phone. This is because this not only relies on the thickness to be selling in great numbers. Instead, it also relies on the fact that it will be having a 4 inch display that is going to be employing the latest technologies in the screens that are currently available. In fact, it will be using the NOVA that is yet to be seen in any other mobile phone. The technology is rumoured to be even better than the Super AMOLED display mainly in the areas of efficiency. It not only focuses on the efficiency, but also the most important factors for a touchscreen display, brightness and contrast. The efficiency is just one of the many strengths of this screen. The resolution that it will be using and the capacitive nature make this an equally brilliant screen.

Further, it will be going to be just 109 g, which in the age of smartphones is certainly unthinkable. The internal memory of 2 GB will be supported by the fact that it will be having expandable memory option. The expandable memory option will be able to carry up to 32 GB, which will be sufficient in order to realise the amount of features that this phone has when concerned with the entertainment. The five megapixel camera in the phone will be more than sufficient, but LG could have certainly given this phone is the eight megapixel unit that is seen in the LG Optimus 2X. However, it seems that LG has broken its limits with the dual core processor that it has been unable to extend the features into the eight megapixel camera. The dual core processor that is used in the LG Optimus Black will be rated at 1 GHz and they should be more than sufficient in order to run the 2.3 version of the Android operating system that is used in the phone.

This is the operating system that is going to be bringing a number of changes in both the user interface and the options as well. The LG Optimus Black is the best phone to see these changes in the best possible way. The LG Optimus Black is expected to be available for £ 400 in the UK.
