New Release by Asante Amen and Kleva Roots Production Update!

March 2, 2011 - PRLog -- (Kingston - Jamaica) Asante Amen has released a new Reggae track called Beating (Beaten) on the High Priest Records/Per Ankh Amen Music Label (click to listen http://soundcloud.com/newimage-music/asante-amen-beating-beaten ). The track addresses the disadvantages and double-standards that are meted out to the poorer, less educated and less-connected class of people in this society (and the world over).
High Priest Records is a new record label that was recently started by Asante to handle all the music he produces; Beating (Beaten) being the first track to be released by the label. Per Ankh Amen Music is the artiste’s publishing company which he says was created to “handle the promotion and exploitation of all the musical works that either have been produced by my record label or that I have partnered with another company in creating.” Although Asante has no intention of being a one-man band, he does believe that it is important for every artist to invest in themselves and have a working understanding of the business of music.

Asante and fellow Kleva Roots Productions artist Keera Rootz have also just recorded two brand new singles for Bizzarri Records (an Italian company) which will be part of a compilation to be released by the end of March. The album will feature mainly Italian acts, Asante Amen and Keera Rootz being the only Jamaicans or Yard artistes on the project to date. Both Asante and Keera have already begun to receive positive feedback for these singles and so they are expecting that when they are officially released they will do well.
Kleva Roots Productions has just completed a new single for the veteran Pinchers called JAH Love Me on the same 'Way Out Riddim' that featured Keera Rootz’ 'Fall' and the GemSto:n/Asante Amen collaboration 'Tek Weh Mi Luv'. Based on the initial response from those who have heard the new Pinchers single, this is another project that the camp is “expecting great things from it,” says Asante Amen.
