    I'd recommend the Scala Rider Q2 headset. Ease of installation and setup is good. The screw on clip wasn't secure enough, so we ended up using the glue-on plates.
The headsets and electronics have a good 'feel' to them. They don't feel like a piece of junk that will fall apart quickly. The audio quality of the intercom is excellent. Automatic volume level adjusting works great. My husband can cough into the mike and it doesn't blast my ears out. It's the same volume as his conversational voice. Radio range is impressive.

    I have this scala raider for past two years. Unfortunatly it started to fall apart slowely, even thou it works perfect.
The wire behind started to lose contact, microfon bar started to lose strenght and wires that hold that bar on the beggining of it are slowely losing function. I have tried gluing it with super glue, but want last much longer.
I love this device, except that is not ment for use more than 2 years, but most of the electronic things that you buy those years aren't.
Today i am looking to buy new one, am considering others, but think that will go with scala again, and will just accept that there is no quality of product that you can buy and that will last you for longer.

    Set arrived quickly but both units enclosed were DOA. Plugged the chargers into both, no "red light" as indicated in the directions. Left on charge over night but neither unit would turn on the next morning. Almost as if the batteries had been left out during assembly. Sending both units back to Cardo (at MY expense) under an RMA. We'll see what happens from there.

Update 2/14/11: CARDO Systems sent out a new pair of units second day air at THEIR expense. These worked as advertised. Very impressed with CARDO Systems' customer service folks. They were very helpful throughout. (but never offered up an explanation for the dead units) Anyway. . . I'm a happy camper now!
A couple of observations on the operation of the Q2 Multiset: I have seen reviews that say the speakers "lack bass" or "sound tinny." There's a reason for that. You can't really hear much bass on a motorcycle. The sub-sonic tones generated by most bikes coupled with wind/road noise simply cancels out many bass notes. Therefore, this type of speaker is aimed at reproducing mid and high frequencies fairly accurately. While it's true they don't sound like the fancy Bose earbuds you got for your I-pod, they are doing their job. The other thing I noticed is the units seem a bit sensistive to wind noise and keep switching to intercom mode while listening to music from the I-pod. To cure this, simply disable the VOX feature by pressing both volume buttons until you hear a beep. You will then have to manually switch to intercom by pressing the MC button, but if you're really trying to listen to some tunes on the ride this trick will save you some aggravation.
