One may, or may not, own a website to accomplish this type of marketing. The advantages of affiliate marketing are that there is no inventory to maintain, no supplier to find and deal with, and in fact, there is no product management at all. That is all the company's concern. An affiliate marketer simply facilitates an interface between the customer and the company.
