Feb. 22, 2011 - PRLog -- Always Best Care Senior Services (ABC), a leading national provider of in-home, non-medical care and support services, celebrated its first Pittsburgh office during a grand opening event held at Franco’s Trattoria in Peters Township on Thursday, February 17, 2011.  Phil Tanner, the owner of the ABC Pittsburgh franchise, welcomed friends, business representatives and health care industry leaders at the event that included a charitable donation door prize in the amount of $250 made in the winner’s name to the Greater Pittsburgh Alzheimer’s Association.

“Launching ABC has been such a rewarding experience, both personally and professionally,” shared Tanner.  “Having experienced the difficulties of an ailing parent, I know first-hand just how important it is to secure trusted and professional in-home care and support.  With Pittsburgh’s aging population, more and more families will be looking for ways to keep their loved ones safe at home, which is where ABC can help.  I am so pleased with the great turnout at our grand opening and everyone at ABC is looking forward to helping area families make the best of difficult situations.  It’s not just our mission, it’s our passion.”

Everyone that attended the ABC Grand Opening was invited to enter their name to win the event’s door prize, which was a two-part charitable donation made in the winner’s name with $125 going to the winner’s charity of choice and a matching $125 to the Greater Pittsburgh Alzheimer’s Association.  The winner, Dianne Davis, a home care coordinator for West Penn’s Home Health Agency, selected the Greater Pittsburgh Alzheimer’s Association as her charity of choice, so the full amount of the door prize donation went to this organization.  ABC is a strong supporter of the Greater Pittsburgh Alzheimer’s Association, with Tanner serving on its organization committee for the “2011 Walk to End Alzheimer’s” being held later this year.
