Ciklum Acquires Part Of SCR Gruppen

Feb. 21, 2011 - PRLog -- KYIV, Ukraine – Ciklum acquired 50 percent of SCR Gruppen with the intention of eventually acquiring the rest.

SCR Gruppen will continue to offer same services under its own name and management. Additionally, SCR Gruppen will increasingly focus on project sales to large customers.

In this context, Viggo Elmetofte, who has previously been a consultant director at Cap Gemini, has been persuaded to assume the role of executive director for the SCR Group Executive Committee. Viggo Elmetofte will have special focus on project sales.

Arne Djernæs Hansen of Ciklum will join the board with business integration of the two companies being the primary focus.

With the Ciklum group behind it, SCR Gruppen will get the opportunity to offer nearshore outsourcing to existing customers.

Ciklum has been outsourcing to Ukraine since 2002, and currently has close partnerships with several major Scandinavian and European companies. Ciklum offers a unique and very attractive outsourcing concept.

Ciklum’s outsourcing concept will now be available for SCR Gruppen's Danish customers. Ciklum´s broad set of capabilities in the area of software development outsourcing will unquestionably strengthen SCR Gruppen´s outsourcing portfolio. With offshore development teams set up, SCR Gruppen will now be able to offer project development at fixed prices.

Ciklum, which in recent years has grown rapidly, and is beginning to gain larger companies - including banks and public enterprises - as clients, will now be able to draw on SCR Group's extensive experience and relationships within the large enterprise segment in Denmark.

Ciklum offers companies assistance in establishing own development subsidiaries in Eastern Europe. Hence, Ciklum’s array of software development services will now also offer expertise of international project management.
