What after BBA?- Corporate Corridors for Budding Managers

Feb. 21, 2011 - PRLog -- Mr. Sayan Bandhopadhyay, an MBA from XLRI, Jamshedpur, and the HR Manager of Asian Paints Eastern zone was the key speaker in the seminar. He has an extensive experience in the corporate sector and is a inexhaustible and knowledgeable speaker in the field of Human Resource Management.

The seminar was initiated by one of the students of The Heritage Academy who welcomed the speaker, the other dignitaries and all the students. She then requested Prof. Gour Banerjee, Principal of The Heritage Academy to introduce the speaker as well as the topic. Prof. Banerjee pointed out that the corporate world is dynamic and is fast changing. The industry expects that the candidate should be well equipped to fit in their environment from the very first day. He then welcomed the speaker to enumerate the industry expectations from prospective candidates.

The speaker Mr. Sayan Bandopadhyay started by saying that he wanted the session to be an interactive one and so requested to students to take charge of the session and come up with their own queries. The students put forward several questions like:

◦Why is it necessary to take up MBA after BBA?
◦Is it better to gain some work experience after completing BBA, prior to joining MBA?
◦If asked in the interview to do a SWOT analysis of BBA students, what would be the answer?
◦Why did he choose Asian Paints?
◦How do we select a B-School?

The interactive session continued for one and a half hours. The students found it an extremely useful session.The Seminar was attended by all the students of BBA and BCA and the respective faculty members.
