Feb. 21, 2011 - PRLog -- Do you have any trouble connecting your new iPad to a bluetooth wireless keyboard, such as First Generation Bluetooth Apple Keyboard or other extended keyboards? It's not pairing with your shinning iPad, when you are trying to pair the wireless keyboard with it. So, any good solution on connecting your iPad with a bluetooth keyboard?

Ok, now we can use iPad with a Bluetooth keyboard [ http://www.papatek.com/Wireless%20Keyboard/42561.html ] for wireless typing, or bluetooth headphones for wireless listening. The iPad supports Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR technology.  The Apple Wireless Keyboards are compatible with the following iOS devices: iPad, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch (3rd generation* and later), iPhone 4. Additionally, many third-party Bluetooth keyboards that use the Apple keyboard layout are also compatible.

If you want to get your original Apple bluetooth(BT) keyboard to pair with the iPad, you first pair the keyboard or headphones with iPad before you can use them. There is a step by step guide how to pair/connect a BT keyboard device with iPad.

Firtsly, on your iPad in Settings, choose General > Bluetooth, and turn Bluetooth on in the right column.
Tips: Tap the bluetooth slide on if it is set to Off. The slider will show On when Bluetooth is active, and you’ll see the Bluetooth symbol next to the battery indicator in the upper right corner of your iPad’s screen.

Secondly, turn on your bluetooth keyboard. Select the keyboard or headphones and if prompted, enter the passkey or PIN number.
When in discoverable mode, your keyboard should appear in the Devices list on your iPad. Tap the name of your keyboard in the Devices list.

Once your keyboard is paired you can use it instead of the iPad’s on-screen virtual keyboard. Pay attention that the onscreen keyboard typically isn’t available when a Bluetooth keyboard is in use, so be sure to turn off your Bluetooth keyboard when you plan to use the virtual keyboard.

Easy steps make you connect/pair the bluetooth wireless keyboard to your iPad. Out of curiosity, Papatek.com is a good place to find bluetooth wireless keyboards for most laptop models.
