Organizations devoted to area youth and special needs populations are rolling out the red carpet and inviting the community to boogie with B'moreAbilities Special Arts Center.
By: B'moreAbilities Special Arts Center "What makes these programs unique?" B'moreAbilities enriches the lives of our special needs community through providing opportunities from birth-senior to bring out their inner soloist and group performer or enhancing self-esteem and confidence with a social venue-like atmosphere. Students not only enjoy fun, physical recreation but learn life-skills with activities centered around team-building, reading and communicating body-language, and nurturing the natural talents of all participants. Both performance and social classes offer non-ambulatory dance instruction as well, the "How We Roll" program focuses on the same dance styles, only modified to fit the needs of individuals with assisted mobility. Trial classes are offered to anyone wishing to try out a class, and financial aid options are available to ensure that no one who wishes to dance gets turned away. "Where in Maryland?" Special needs dance programs expanding to the ARC of Baltimore Metro Drive, the ARC of Northern Chesapeake Region, and Therapeutic Recreation of Harford County, Rebounders Gymnastics of Timonium, SpeechPathways of Westminster, in addition to the original Jess's Dance Studio of Dundalk.
