| Hank and Jed Movie Pictures, Neo Art and Logic & Little Film Company team up for animated featureWilmington, NC based Hank and Jed Movie Pictures is officially in production on the animated comedy feature Toonstone. The announcement came after their screening of their animated comedy, Doraleous and Associates, at the NY Comic Con.
By: Hank and Jed Movie Pictures The story takes place in 1870 in the Wild West and revolves around a country musician named Dalton who takes a job as the sheriff of Toonstone to support his livelihood as he chases outlaws, aliens and his ultimate dream... his music. Hank and Jed had much success with their animated series, Doraleous and Associates, that airs on EscapistMagazine.com. In their second season, they took a hiatus after episode 36 to develop Toonstone. Hank and Jed Movie Pictures is staying with their lineup of writers and voice talent: Brent Triplett, Nate Panning, Bryan Mahoney, Tony Schnur, and Jon Etheridge. Sheila Brothers, Joel Soisson, Aaron Ockman, Robbie Little and Keith Rotman have been named Producers. Brent Triplett is directing. Alex Beard will compose the original score. Toonstone is set for release later this year and will be repped by The Little Film Company. Their first short comedy, Super Sam, took home “Best Comedy” and overall second place in the Final Cut Film Festival and went on to win Comedy Central’s Test Pilot Contest, which garnered over 100,000 votes for the win and included a cash prize and some air time on Viacom’s Comedy Central. The comedy style of Hank and Jed has also been sought out by multi-billion dollar companies to create ad and recruitment campaigns internationally. Before the first season was up, the Hank and Jed team acquired a renewal for two more seasons of the series.
