Peter Ruz has over 15 years of experience, with IT, communications and web technologies. Mr. Ruz designed and spearheaded projects for a variety of prominent clients including, the Orlando Magic, and Jackson Memorial Hospital and assisted in the design and deployment of software used in over 100 hospitals across the country. Mr. Ruz was responsible for the development and deployment of the web portal for South Florida’s largest mental health service provider, which included following and adhering to HIPPA compliance rules and establishing best industry practices. Mr. Ruz has project managed web development projects with development teams of 50 or more developers. As director of information technologies for NRC, he developed a corporate communication platform spanning several continents. As a Microsoft certified trainer, he has a strong background in many of Microsoft’ Alex Kanakaris was an early visionary on the delivery of movies, music and books on the Internet. He delivered the first online movie in December 1995 (A Perfect Gift on his website Cinemapop) and the first e-books where you could turn pages without scrolling and change the size of type on the page (WordPop 1994). Mr. Kanakaris was interviewed about the future of the Internet on national TV twice by the father of the Internet (and winner of the Presidential Medal of Freedom), Vinton Cerf, Vice President and Chief Internet Evangelist for Google. Mr. Kanakaris was also a guest speaker in Beijing, China in 2007 for a global Internet conference, and has spoken on Internet panels globally. In Sweden, Mr. Kanakaris demonstrated the first wireless delivery of a movie to laptop users at the airport serving Stockholm (2001).
