The Career Finders' Ron Safier Recognized for Giving Back to the Community

Jan. 25, 2011 - PRLog -- MOUNT LAUREL, N.J. – Ron Safier, managing partner of South Jersey staffing company The Career Finders, has been named a runner-up for the Voorhees Breakfast Rotary’s Citizen of the Year honor. He will be recognized at the Rotary’s annual Community Service Awards Dinner Jan. 27 at Venice Plaza in Berlin.

In honoring Safier, a long-time Voorhees resident, the Rotary cited his many contributions to the local community. He and his company have made donations to dozens of charities over the years, including a recent donation of 500 books to a school for underprivileged children. Safier and his certified Pet Therapy Dog, Taz, regularly visit area children’s hospitals and nursing homes. Safier is on the national bone marrow donor registry and donates blood to the Red Cross.

A firm believer in giving back, Safier volunteers his time whenever he can. He is a certified Little League coach and an active leader with the Cub Scouts. He teaches an evening career search class at Monmouth University, is pursuing an MBA online with Colorado State University and he and his wife, Jennifer Madera, president of The Career Finders, are members of Partners in Torah, and participate in weekly Torah study.

“It is such an honor to have just been named a finalist for Citizen of the Year. Helping others is in my fabric, and something my wife and I teach our four boys every day,” says Safier, an avid baseball player who once tried out for the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium.

Being honored as Citizen of the Year is Gisele DiNatale, co-founder of the Alicia Rose “Victorious” Foundation. This year’s Business Person of the Year is Richard P. Miller, CEO of Virtua Hospital.
