Follow on Google News | Nike SasQuatch Driver with high MOIThe new Nike SasQuatch Sumo Driver has a higher MOI than original SQ driver at 4950 g/cm2 for greater forgiveness and increased distance.
By: golfdiscountsale The SasQuatch, I've heard, has one of the highest moment of inertia (MOI) ratings in the game. MOI can be thought of as "resistance to twisting" on off-center impact. The benefit of a high MOI is a "forgiving" club. It's that ease of shot shaping and one other factor that has made the SQ my "confidence driver." The large clubhead has the odd effect of making the shaft seem shorter than it really is, inspiring confidence that allows me to pull driver and hit shots full of confidence. The SasQuatch Geometry as they call it basically means that this driver looks weird. Nike has completely gone away from the traditional, pear shape of the Ignite drivers. Contrary to most new drivers on the market, the SQ has a very shallow face. It also has a very wide breadth, meaning it is very long from the face to the back of the driver. The SQ is 460 cc’s but at address it looks like it could easily be over 500. This thing is huge! You will also notice a wide gray band around the back of the driver; Nike calls this the PowerBow but really it is just there to make the head look smaller. It is obvious that Nike is aiming this driver at the recreational player. The unique shape creates a large sweetspot and an extremely deep center of gravity for higher launch angles with lower spin rates. In essence, the different shape allows the centre of gravity to be pushed back, which gives a higher launch angle, and therefore greater distance. The clubhead is also less likely to twist, allowing the golfer to find the middle of the clubface more often. American magazine Golf Digest, which knows its onions, voted it the Driver of the Year for 2006. Finally, though, you get a club that works extremely well but has the added, almost impossible to quantify element of "cool". You may not be able to measure it, but you know it when it's there and with this Nike, it's there in spades. Golfers' review: I'm a believer... been using my SQ for several months now... shot even par on the front nine for the first time on my home course thanks to a lot of long straight drives! It did, however, take me a while to get consistent with it. I have a tendency to swing for the fences with it. I just got a Nike SQ 10.5° driver and I love it. I don’t even notice the powerbow! Easily hit long and straight drives, even when I mishit it goes straight. I would get a SQ Fairway wood as well. The SQ design is one of the best if not the best I’ve seen and felt yet. I used to have a Callaway Big Bertha 454 and was hitting a high fade with that and then I switched over to the SQ tour and have being hitting a high draw ever since. OK it took me about 2 weeks and a couple of lessons to get used to but now I’m hammering the ball slightly over 300yrds and I play off 19. I got the Nike Sasquatch not too long ago, and I love it. I upgraded from a Cobra F-Speed, and noticed the difference within minutes of having the driver. I averaged about a 260 yard drive with my cobra, and jumped up to about 290-300 yards average driving distance with the SasQuatch. I demo'd the Nike (non tour)Sumo 8.5 degree, I had been playing with technology 6 or 7 years old and let me tell you this is going to change my golf life. Not only can I hit this club straight the distance is unbelievable 300+ is a mere formality now, before it was an occasional phenomenon. Seriously, I bought the thing for just under 300 and I truly believe it was the best money I've ever spent on golf. I just can't wait to play against my buddies. I bought the Nike Sasquatch. I absolutely love it; I hit it straight almost every time. I am hitting it a bit farther also. I love the sound and the weight of the driver is just perfect. I bought the Nike Sasquatch 9.5 degree driver and it has helped me tremendously. This club is REALLY forgiving and if you hit it well, the ball will go a long way. Even on mis-hits, the ball doesn’t really go astray. Great Driver! More information at http://www.mygolfcheap.com/ # # # iscount Golf Clubs, discount Golf Equipment, Golf Accessories& End
