PRLog -- Female rappers throughout the midwest are sick and tired of Nicki Minaj and the media stating that Nicki is the best female rapper of all time. Local and unsigned female talent from Chicago and the surrounding areas will prove to the music industry that they are not to be taken lightly when they perform at La FemMeCs on Sunday, January 30, 2011 at Valentino's (7150 W. Grand Ave., Chicago Illinois). La FemMeCs is an all female talent showcase and competition for independent and unsigned hip hop, r&b, soul, jazz, blues and poetry artists. Sponsored and hosted by US Entertainment, La FemMeCs will feature some of the best up-and-coming female acts throughout the midwest competing for a cash prize of $250 along with other prizes to help with their music careers. A special performance by Sweet Juices will complete the evening. Not only will La FemMeCs showcase female talent in the midwest, but it will also help Connections for Abused Women and their Children (www.cawc.org)
by donating a portion of the proceeds from the evening. Female artists that are interested in participating in the showcase should contact Floyd at 773-677-4533 or visit
