Kyle Smithson will be the next Big Star in Hollywood

Jan. 19, 2011 - PRLog -- Los Angeles, CA (AP) William Kyle Smithson embarked on his journey towards becoming an actor at a very young age; little did young Kyle know, his talent, cleverness, and professionalism would quickly propel him towards being the owner of his own production company.

Kyle got his first glint of acting when he was a child. “I would point at the TV and wonder why other people were in there and I wasn’t. So I told my parents I would be in there one day.” At just three years old, young Kyle already knew that he would be an actor.   His hard work, passionate attitude, and participation in church plays were all fundamentally significant in shaping his career as an actor.

In high school, Kyle further continued to grow as an actor where he landed leading roles in numerous musicals and plays.   After high school, Kyle moved to New York and singed with MMG where he pursued High Fashion modeling. Thereafter, Kyle found himself back in Tennessee where he did more acting and was signed by Block Agency.

Kyle then landed a small one-liner audition for the movie “Easter Lake” that would prove to considerably change his life. He drove from Tennessee to North Carolina to try for a one-liner but was casted as the co-star. “It made me see that I really wanted to do this the rest of my life as I realized lead acting was in my blood.”

“Easter Lake” had been filming for a month when Kyle would soon be presented with yet another life-changing opportunity. The movie’s current producer was experiencing a bit of “conflict of interest” and it was evident to both the Director and Kyle that there needed to be some changes.  Kyle then stepped in as producer. It was a surprise even to Kyle that he had potential as a producer. Kyle was eager to step up.

After the movie’s sudden “team adjustment” Kyle’s resourcefulness paid off. He and the director moved the project to Tennessee where Kyle’s supportive father gave the movie enough money to be produced and provided them with a place to live.  Kyle quickly learned all that he could about production. “There were many trials and errors that came with "Easter Lake", but finally after a year, we finished it up”.  This would be Kyle’s first movie he ever produced.

Kyle’s skill as a producer finally surfaced; it didn’t go unnoticed. Purple Mountain Productions asked him to join their team as a co-producer for another movie called “The Ones”.  Here, Kyle utilized the tools he learned from “Easter Lake” and was able to further exercise his part as co-producer. “With the information and the trial and error skills I have gained I am able to produce about anything I feel is a good movie and that deserves to be made.” Kyle now has his own production company called Jellyside Up Productions.

Now “Senior Producer”, Kyle has announced with great anticipation the 6/15/11 start of their SAG Feature Film “Phoenix-The Road Home.  The Film has an agreement in place for release beginning in November 2011 and soon will be distributed worldwide.

“Phoenix –The Road Home” tells the story that centers on life, happiness, tragedy, love, and the journey of a young Hollywood A-List star, Chris Carlson.  Rob and Chris are brothers, but Rob hates Chris and blames him for the death of their mother. When a second tragedy impacts Chris and Rob’s lives, everything changes and Rob becomes Chris’s main aid.  “Phoenix –The Road Home” also introduces rising star Courtenay Turner in the lead role of Helena. She is Chris’ inspiration in his darkest hour and soon becomes his love interest.

William Kyle Smithson knew as a child that he wanted to be an actor. What he didn’t know was that his creativity, flexibility, and resourcefulness would prove to make him into a great producer as well.  All of Kyle’s facets are reflected through with his production company and his strongly anticipated movie “Phoenix-The Road Home”.
