Jan. 15, 2011 - PRLog -- Antellus, a private independent publisher of science fantasy adventure and nonfiction books, has republished the 7th Children of The Dragon SF/vampire novel with a revised cover in a variety of formats. Plans are in the works to revise all the covers for the remaining books in the series over the next few months.

"We had noticed the trend developing among many publishers in the last year," series author and CEO Theresa M. Moore said. "Since it appears that cover art is no longer a valued selling point for the books, we felt it was time to try a new approach. And with the advent of ereaders no bigger than the palm of one's hand, the details of cover art quickly become lost on a small screen. As the tastes of readers change, we must change with them. I made the decision to start the revisions soon after we published NAGRASANTI Illustrated Vampire Anthology, the third book in the series, with a revised title and cover. The change was done due to some confusion on the part of people visiting the site and thinking that NAGRASANTI was a children's book, even if the description we posted on the site clearly indicated what kind of book it was."

Moore's formal training in art and illustration had allowed her to design and produce the covers of all her books and ebooks with basic paintings rendered in acrylics and inks, cleaned up and embellished with Photoshop effects. With the debut of ereaders, such labor-intensive processes have become deprecated in recent years. "I lament the reader's change in taste away from color and painterly design aspects of cover art," Moore added. "It was an aspiration of mine to become a fully employed cover designer and illustrator at one time, but that has all changed as we march boldly into the electronic age."

The Children of The Dragon series of SF/vampire books is a chronicle of the Xosan, living vampires from the planet Antellus who were once human but were transformed by a dragon's blood. They are stories of science fiction, fact and fantasy, myth and history, romance, tragedy and triumph; linked together by the theme of the vampire as hero. Author Theresa M. Moore writes in a strong cinematic style to bring the reader into a fictional world as close to reality as possible, ever with the mission to educate as well as entertain. She is currently hard at work writing the 8th book, Written In BLOOD. More information can be found on the Antellus web site.

Antellus is a subsidiary of Nagrasanti Enterprises, located in Los Angeles, California. For more information, visit the web site or contact us by email at info@antellus.com.
